Scarface is a rapper from Texas formerly known as Akshen, best known as a former member of The Geto Boys. He released his debut album, Mr. Scarface is Back, in 1991, to critical acclaim. The successful album built a large fan base for Scarface, despite the violent lyrics that kept the music out of the mainstream media. In 2001, he released the album The Last of a Dying Breed, which earned him the Lyricist of the Year award at the 2001 Source Awards.
