Despite troubled times in the late seventies and early eighties, the band has perservered. Aerosmith still tours with the original lineup of Steven Tyler (lead vocals), Joe Perry (guitar, vocals), Brad Whitford (guitar), Tom Hamilton (bass) and Joey Kramer (drums). Except for a brief period from 1979-1984, the band has maintained this lineup. This makes them one of the most successful, influential and enduring rock groups of all time.
