Rick Derringer is a rock guitarist and singer possibly best known for "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo". At the age of seventeen, he recorded the hit single "Hang on Sloopy" with his band, The McCoys. He has played with several other bands and artists including Steely Dan, Weird Al Yankovic and Johnny Winter's band.
