Fall Out Boy Information

Fall Out Boy landed its first success in 2003 with the EP Fall Out Boy's Evening Out With Your Girlfriend, released on Uprising Records, with singles such as "Pretty In Punk" and "Short, Fast, And Loud" receiving airplay on FUSE and mtvU. Fall Out Boy then signed with Fueled By Ramen and released Take This To Your Grave, which eventually achieved Gold status with help from strong sigles like "Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy". That same year, they signed with Island Records. Before moving on to their next album-length release, Fall Out Boy released their acoustic EP My Heart Will Always Be the B-Side to My Tongue in 2004.

On May 3, 2005, released their major label debut From Under The Cork Tree,[3] which debuted on the Billboard charts at #9, selling over 70,000 copies in its first week, and soon achieving Double Platinum status. Their breakout single "Sugar, We're Goin' Down," peaked at #8 on the Billboard "Hot 100" charts and reached #1 on MTV's TRL, where the video was retired. The video also won the MTV2 Award at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards. The band was nominated for "Best New Artist" at the 2006 Grammy Awards.
