Norm MacDonald is a Canadian comedian and actor from Quebec. He is known for his biting sarcasm, quick wit, distinct muttering and slurred delivery, and his three years anchoring Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update.
MacDonald began his comedy career appearing in numerous comedy clubs throughout Canada before moving to Los Angeles, where he became a writer for Roseanne. He went on to appear on other sitcoms, including The Drew Carey Show and NewsRadio before joining the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1993.
